Preparing for Imbolc🐑February 1st-2nd. ✨🌀

Imbolc has a special meaning for me. It’s a time of joyful initiations and collaborating and guiding our student’s personal spiritual paths to magical intuitive experiences of renewal, self care and healing. The removal of blockages, negative thought patterns and false beliefs that would keep one from their personal goals and dreams. Imbolc reminds us that we must never forget our dreams, for these very dreams are our inspirations for the seeds of our magic. At Imbolc, we shine warmth and love onto the seeds of our soul, feed them daily and watch them grow and never lose sight of them, as this is the true magic of life. The magic which keeps us forever eternal, youthful and filled with the joy and motivation for living in fullness.

This is a time to introduce the element of Fire into personalized curriculums. Not the blazing fire of Beltane and Summer Solstice just yet, but rather the intimate, creative and healing Hearthfire within the soul and the discovery of it. It is a time to get in touch with one’s inner child and explore one’s intuition and fantasies, to fulfill dreams left in childhood or young adulthood that were dearly cherished, stir them in the cauldron of the soul and manifest them with the awakening energies of Mother Earth.

As modern practitioners, we joyfully celebrate Imbolc in our homes with the lighting of candles to celebrate the illumination of the sun warming our lands, with the promise of abundance in our lives. Of flowers, herbs, food and grain for the thriving of our people and our animals. On Imbolc, we build sacred hearth fires sprinkled with a bit of the dried flowers and herbs from the last harvest that lovingly decorate our rooms during winter’s icy winds. Dried bunches of calendula with flowers of orange and golden sun hang in our kitchens, sprinkled in soups to warm our bellies and mixed in salves with mint to soothe our bodies from the frigid winds. We cook special foods of bannock cakes and scones smothered in fresh warm butter, in honour of the coming growth of grain and milking ewes. We make dolls and inbue them with our dreams and goals for the coming seasons. We fashion Brighid crosses to post over our doorways for protection. We bless our homes and hearths with the water from streams, wells and melted snow and smudge our homes with curling spirals of burning incense made of hawthorne. We bless the breasts and bellies of pregnant women to ease the pangs of childbirth when the time comes. At Imbolc, we may self-initiate, and initiate one another into sacred circles, welcoming novices, new priestesses and priests and their children and familiars into the fold of the magical community.

Imbolc celebrates the awakening of Mother Earth and a coming of the end of hibernation. This is a time to prepare and make plans for the future, create beauty and fertile soil to plant the seeds of the harvest once more. The birthing of lambs welcomes Her.

Intuitive practitioners now sense a stirring of new vitality in their inner being as the Wheel turns again, this time, towards Spring Equinox, and the birthing of newness in the Earth and Sky.

Companion pets become more playful now, demanding more interaction and outdoor moments, as Earth takes on new tastes and smells that arouse their senses.

Wild forest creatures show their faces more frequently now.

Children sense the vibrational change, experience growth spurts and high energy, and want for exploration and adventures.

Young adults develop a fresh awareness of their emotions and sexuality, seeking love and mating experiences.

Adults are energized with new personal and career goals with a heightened stirring creativity and plans for action begin to form in their psyche.

Seniors awaken to a deeper, stronger, more powerful wisdom to share with the world.

The Ancient Celts called upon Fire Goddesses to heal them from the hardships of winter and bring the promise of rebirth, beauty, fertility, robust health and the awakening of the land.

Imbolc was observed in Ireland and Scotland with reverence to Brighid or Brihde of the Tuatha de Dannan of Ireland by the insular Celts. Proto Neolithic pagans honoured Holde of the ancient Germanic pantheon, and Beiwe of the Saami greens the land for the reindeer to feed.

Imbolc, the astro half-way point between winter solstice and spring equinox, is a proto-Celtic celebration of agrarian peoples.

Archeologically noted in the illumination of the Neolithic inner chambers of a megalithic monument which is perfectly aligned with the rising sun of Imbolc, Dumha na nGiall,a neolithic structure, c. 3350 and 2800 BCE located in the Tara Skryne valley of County Meath, Ireland, is an ancient passage tomb. The passage and back wall is illuminated on the morning of Imbolc, as well as Samhuinn. It is considered a sacred proto-Celtic site. The 13 spiral carvings on the back wall of the cavern are thought to be the 13 phases of the moon.

Globally, Imbolc 2021 ushers in the gentle hearthfires of hope for our future with the opportunity to put a devastating pandemic behind us after a quarantine that, to many of us, felt like one long winter hibernation. We may now embrace the discovery of a vaccine with the imperative understanding of its potential: the vaccination of only 80% of the world population will completely eradicate the COVID-19 pandemic crisis.

Blessed be ✨🕊🌀

Marija Gimbutas names Hulda (or Holda, Holla, Holle) as having originally been an ancient Celtic Germanic supreme goddess who predates most of the Germanic pantheon, including deities such as Odin, Thor, Freya and Loki, continuing traditions of pre-indo European Neolithic Europe.

2021: I on thy Path, O Goddess 🌹🌀

Knowledge I’ve intuited during the 2020 Covid-19 pandemic:

•Pleasure is the perspective that has kept my sanity through it all.

• Natural beauty is important to the heart and soul.

Our immediate environment has a profound effect on our intuition, mood, feelings and psyche – which, in turn, affects our relationship with ourselves and others.

Identifying and implementing our personal choices of aesthetic elements of color, texture, design, sound, lighting and story that bring personal delight and pleasure is necessary for a smooth progression through homebound isolation and lack of socialization.

I chose self indulgence of my senses with a Goddess energy that brings a gentle, soothing, nurturing beauty that surrounds me. Roses and rose petals. Pastels. Pinks. Velvets. Curvilinear lines. Fragrances and perfumes of roses, bergamot and white lilac. Candle light. Music. All to invoke my inner light and smile from the inside out.

I breakfast with the scent of a long stemmed bloom of a vibrant pink, creamy white or crimson red rose on my kitchen table that mixes with the aroma of fresh pressed espresso, delighting my senses of sight, taste and smell. There is a Tea rose plant that still blooms in it’s terra cotta pot on my bedroom windowsill that, upon awakening each morning to it’s beauty, lifts my heart into the warm rays of sun. Bowls of softly curled velvet petals in every room are illuminated in candle light. Their whispers inspire me to unfold.

I wrap myself in soft pink fleece blankets and sip warm raspberry tea with clover honey, while watching reruns of Reign for the joys of beautiful dresses, glorious landscapes and well done fake sex.

I now let myself slip leisurely into long baths filled with scented oils while floral herbs float all around me, banishing the winter’s chill from my body.

Indulgences in sopranic and tenor arias of angelic voices of all genres, pop to l’opera, fills my emptiness with hope once again.

My kitchen, a long time gathering place, now mesmerizes me with the delicious scent and colour of fresh vegetable soup. Bright orange carrot, forest green haricort, and golden potato simmer in a large and heavy copper soup pot, peppered with dried garden rosemary leaves, and wanting for the warm, buttered french loaves on the cutting board beside the stove.

Tonight is New Year’s Eve on the Julian calendar.

More importantly, New Year’s Eve is my Mothers birthday.

Tonight I celebrate her. Her delicate beauty. Her fierceness. Her unforgettable spirit. Her capacity for creating beauty with refined, simple elegance she found in the natural world was a gift she shared freely to bring solace and comfort to those in need. My mother taught me where we came from. She spoke of the old family stories and secrets. Secrets about the magic in the land of our ancestors. The magic in our blood, our heritage and French Alpine european roots. She, with my grandmother, and great grandmother, told the story through their passing years until their own return to the Goddess. Tonight, I remember her stories. All of them. She would have been 93 today.

I on thy path, O Goddess. Thou, O Goddess, in my steps. 🌹

Celtic Alpine European Ancestry:

Ancient ancestors of the La Tene Culture in neolithic Switzerland’s bronze age c. 450 b.c., brought their nature deities with them as they migrated and eventually dominated trade across Euro Asia until circa 1 b.c. when Rome overtook them.

The La Tene who migrated west had socio-political leaders, the Druids, who kept no written records, but rather, committed all to memory, passing the heritage down from generation to generation. They’ve left us with their designs of nature deities and sacred spirals and woven knottings laid into the metal of their warrior shields, swords, torcs, brooches, urns, bowls and jewelry. About 2500 artifacts were excavated at Lake Neuchatel, near Bern, where Archeologists date these artifacts to 1 to 2 b.c.

These same repeating patterns of curvilinear and geometric lines and spiral designs eventually made their way westward through France to insular Britain. Archaeologists continue to discover artifacts and ruins of the tribes of the ancient Celts in these lands. In addition, excavations in Sion, Switzerland, revealed megaliths dating back to 6400 b.c.

All remnants of an ancient culture who brought the love and reverence of Nature into their daily lives.

Today’s Neo-Pagan and Neo-Druid Arts carry on the old ways.

Winter Solstice 2020: Star Magi ✨ 🌀

Jupiter and Saturn conjunct in the 11th house, Mercury transits through the 10th house.

21 December 2020. Today and forward to Summer Solstice, the Wheel turns with ever growing light and warmth each day as the celestial movement of Mother Earth begins a new agricultural year in the northern hemisphere with the return of the sun and increasing daylight hours. Of note, Jupiter and Saturn have moved out of the 10th house, and into Aquarius’ 11th house.

This Winter Solstice brings a benevolent light with Jupiter and Saturn now transiting into the Aquarian house of big love, sprinkling good fortune and generosity through new visions with old wisdom, into our lives.

It also has the potential to shine perhaps a not-so-welcomed light into Capricorn’s Plutonian cracks and crevices of hidden economic agendas and executive strategies of money, politics and world order.

~~~~~
Intentions, Manifestations and Spell Work most auspicious at Winter Solstice 2020:
•Re-birth of the psyche.
•Shedding of old, worn out behaviors, habits and lifestyles.
•Dreaming new lives, new ways of being and new realities into your existence.
•Planting new thoughts and new ways of being into your mind.
•Listening for the sound of your Inner Voice.
•Creating win-win budgets, economies and charities.
•Seeing and perceiving traditional values benevolently through a new lens of possibilities, visions and paths.
•Getting unstuck.
•Being kinder to your dark side.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Winter Solstice 2020 Celestial Mercurial Message:

Speak your Truth, and Listen carefully to what you tell your Self! Then, read between the lines.

~~~~~~~~~~~~
The Return of the Sun God: Celebrations of Earth’s Fertility Goddesses giving birth to sons as bringers of light are stories woven through human consciousness, as evidenced in the research studies of Art, Art History, Archeology and Anthropology.
The Autumn Queen
🍂👑🍁
I saw the Autumn Queen today stroll through the amber wood. She rustled up the forest floor with one wisp of her hand, and leaves of brown and gold swirled upon the land.
I watched through stalks of wheat upon my window pane. And dares’t say a word, that she might see me again.
She glimmered just like sunshine through cold November rain. She offered to wash my soul free, then turn the Wheel again.
She said She knew the Sisters three, from Shakespeare’s crafty pen. And she could spin a whole new life with that Wheel in her hand.
She glimmered just like sunshine through cold November rain. She offered to wash my soul free, then turn the Wheel again.
And so,
she spun,
and spun,
and spun
Her threads into the stars, and created webs of magic with Jupiter and Mars.
And now I glimmer just like sunshine through cold Samhuinn rain,and I offer to wash your soul free, and turn your Wheel again.
She glimmered just like sunshine through cold November rain. She offered to wash my soul free, then turn the Wheel again.
She glimmered just like sunshine through cold November rain. She offered to wash my soul free, then turn the Wheel again.
An Open Letter to all Novices, Initiates and Daughters of the Craft.
Photo Credit: Shakespeare’s Macbeth, Globe Theatre, 2014
Remember you are magical beings, called to be one with the Energies of this Universe. The Earth is your Mother, from whom you may draw your nourishment. Each one of you are Daughters of the Earth, and Sisters to one another. You carry the energy of creation within the cauldron of your hearts and bodies. Your gifts are channeled through the fire of your heart and intuition. Whichever magical paths and pantheons you choose to walk are neither good nor bad. Rather, it is that which draws you to the beat of your own magical heart and soul that leads you to the learning and awakening. As magical practitioners, and I use this term, as there are many names that describe us, we are always on a continuum of positive and negative energies. Like a pendulum, we swing back and forth, as we learn to harness and direct the energies, until we find our own individual perfect balance. That sweet spot within, where our magic flows freely, in perfectly controlled abandon, giving us full artistic and spiritual expression. That place within our soul where our magic is so deep, rich and refined that we arrive at our destination within moments through our will and intent that rides on the airflow of our creative visualization. No longer needing external matter to maintain focus, as it is now within us, a part of the fabric of our magical bodies.
And there is choice. The choice to harness positive energies brings your journey to a safe destination. There may be times when the application of negative energies are required, as destruction and de-mantling gives way to cleansing and clearing. Keep in mind that what you create and manifest carries a karma for you. Be respectful. Be kind. Remember, we are all one, all connected in this magical web. What you do to one of us, you do to all. Therefore, go forth in compassion towards one another. Support one another whenever the opportunity is presented to you. Speak with kindness to one another. Acknowledge one another’s uniqueness, and learn from one another. Share your magical knowledge freely with one another, that your own lives may be better. Take ownership of your magical actions, and harm none. And most importantly, use your wonderful gifts and powers to channel the energies of love, joy and happiness, hope and healing to your Self and your own precious life, your loved ones, and one another.
💛✨🕊
During this time of social distancing and quiet solitude exists an opportunity for a new spiritual awareness of joy.
Within each of us at the spark of conception, every baby is born joyful, excited and immersed in love of self and all, with full expression of heart and soul. As Osho and Steiner teach, love & joy reflect out into the universe as light. It is the Christ light that heals.
Look at a baby’s eyes, filled with light and bursting with the energy of pure love, radiating life force, without limiting beliefs, self-criticism or judgment. Every one of us start out this way, and it doesn’t go away. It’s there, within each one of us, spiraling within in our spiritual center, generated in our solar chakra, our connection to the entire creative universe – that akashic record! That spark and fire of life and joy, that secret within our solar chakra, that radiates into the heart chakra where it is expressed through our emotions. Listen to a baby’s cooing and laughter and feel the joy radiating from it’s heart to yours!
Joy and love and light and interconnectedness. This is our true essence, individually, and collectively.
Depression and loneliness occurs when multiple layers of self-limiting beliefs, self criticism, self- dissatisfaction and even self-hatred, create barriers within us that keep us from our center of joy and love.
Gratitude breaks through the barriers, and initiates the cleansing and clearing process. Makes us aware of the self-limiting beliefs, the scripts that are played over and over again in our psyches, placed there by the thoughts of others in childhood, and along the way of youth to early adulthood. Gratitude peels back layers of the onion until we find that center of joy and self-love, that spark of life that we were born with, our truest self; joy.
The Cosmology of Einstein and Hawkings teaches us that light and energy transcends time and space, and new stars are born as a spark within the nothingness, the stillness.
Meditation stills and distills us, releases the false layers to reveal our center spark of creative joy. This is the secret of smiling from the inside, as the Buddha teaches us.
Joy Affirmation:
I am grateful for my inner spark of joy, love and light. I am grateful for the awareness and cleansing of my layers of self limiting beliefs and the thoughts of others that easily fall away from me, as I experience my true self, my own spark of joy, love, light and interconnectedness to all of life and all sentient beings. And so it is.🌞✨🕊
